I'm amazed at this youtube video of the guy who robbed the bank, and took a woman outside as a hostage with a gun to her head. The ink bomb goes off on the money he is carrying, so the money is worthless from this point. He slips on the ice, and she's able to run away and into a pathway with armed officers on BOTH sides with in a few feet. This poor S.O.B. then runs after her (it doesn't look like he's trying to shoot her, but just trying to get her as a hostage again). Since he had a gun and it was pointed in the direction of the hostage (he wasn't aiming), the cops opened fired and killed this 'would-be' bank-robber. The police in my opinion were TOTALLY in the right in shooting.
If he would have just stopped, put his gun down, he'd be alive and in jail. I just wonder what was going through this guy's brain (besides lead from a bullet), and what was his motivation to run after a woman with a gun in his hand in between armed officers within a few feet........?!?
It was probably drug related, but I have to think of this guy's family having to watch this video showing him being shot and killed on the 5 o'clock news.
